Blog catch up...
Well, I'm almost caught up...with the exception of our D-land trip. I thought I had better get it done quick because baby is on her way very soon! ;) Gonna try to do D-land tomorrow.
A New Van
(goodbye van)
In preparation for the new baby, we decided it would be best to get a bigger van. Ours seats seven, but it is a compact van, became very cramped and doesn't have a shoulder strap belt in the middle back seat. So, we bought a new one! This I might add, is a bit painful when you have a vehicle paid off! Ouch! It is an eight-seater Toyota Sienna and our nice brother-in-law just happens to be in the car business and tracked it down for us at an auction in California. As great as this is, I was still a big baby when we said goodbye to the old van...the van I picked out myself when I was pregnant with the twins. So many memories of my kids growing older in that van, and that's all I could see as I took a few pics and prepared to say goodbye. I was in tears. But I am still grateful for our new one. The kids are in love with it-it is bigger and has a nicer DVD system. We have already broken it in with a trip to Disneyland, so I guess it's part of the family now, ready to have more memories made in it.
(not an actual photo of ours, but it is about the same)
Zach the Storyteller!
Our Zachary was chosen by his classmates to represent their 1st grade class in the school's storytelling festival. He participated in that, and ended up taking 3rd place, trophy and all! He told his version of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"-hence the doll in the picture. It has Goldilocks on one half and you flip it over and it has the three bears on the other. We couldn't have been more proud. He has a fabulous memory and loves to tell stories, both fiction and non-fiction. He is very talented in this area. I have been trying to convince him to let me enroll him in an acting workshop or try out for a play, (I can just see him in the children's chorus in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat)but so far he is saying he is "shy"...um, shy? Really? I don't know if I believe that buddy! Great job Zach!
We love the Globies!
As part of Tanner's birthday, he was also able to go to a Jazz game AND he received tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters which we went to on February 8th!!! It was a really fun show and since we are Amazing Race fans, we enjoyed seeing Big Easy and Flight Time in action!
Tanner's 9th birthday
Lucky boy! We went to Chuck E. Cheese's as a family for dinner for his actual birthday, January 13th, and then we took a few friends and family members bowling the following Saturday. He had also attended a Jazz game that same week and for his birthday he received tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters! He had a great 9th birthday week!

Thanks for the input...
On baby names! We are still trying to work that all out, but we like to see the baby first anyway for a final decision. I wish I felt more like blogging...I have lots to catch up on. Truth is...I'm just trying to get by with basics...i.e. getting kids to school, showering...etc. Man it's been tough to take care of four kiddos and be preggo...but it's not permanent and it's worth it, right?! Hopefully I will catch up this weekend...we'll see. But if I don't, I still enjoy jumping on and reading about everyone else.
This is pretty much me...with the exception of a couple on the list...he he:
