Leah's Blessing

Leah Rose Jensen was blessed on July 4, 2010. Since the 4th of July is my favorite holiday...well, that and Halloween...it was only fitting. If you can't be born on the 4th of July than you might as well be blessed that day! She was so adorable. It was a great day. I have no other words but to say how much I adore her...how grateful I am for the people that supported and helped us that day, and how much I adore, adore, adore her!!! It was a beautiful blessing for a little beauty.

The twins are 7!

The twins turned seven years old on June 16th. We planned to party at the park with all their friends but had to have it in our house because of all the bad wind that day. We made do and I think the kids still had fun.
Megan wanted a flower cake and her current favorite color is purple so this is what I came up with:

Zach was eagerly anticipating Toy Story 3 coming out two days after his birthday and was over the moon about this Toy Story cake with all the figures. Thanks Disney Store:Happy Birthday kiddos!
Girl Table + Gavin and Zach
Boy TableZach with his presents:
Meg with her presents:
We took the twins to Brick Oven that night, and oh my...the joy on Zach's face when they sang to him and he stood on the bench...priceless:

What a great day for them! Happy Birthday Megan and Zach! Can't believe it has been seven whole years. We sure love you!

A trip to the zoo

I took the four kids to the zoo on Memorial by myself while Brandon did some much needed yard work. It was VERY CROWDED!!! But, it was really nice. We took a lunch and ate it in the zoo. It was pleasant and we still got to see lots of animals and enjoy the day. My mom watched Leah for me. :) Thanks Mom. It was a great day.

Dear Leah Rose,

How can over two months be gone already? Didn't you just barely make your entrance into this world? And now, you are smiling and cooing and are awake all of the time. You suddenly seem like a real member of the family, but it's all happening TOO fast! Aren't you supposed to let me rock you and hold you all day long and never grow??? Wasn't that part of the deal? Okay, I suppose not. Dang. Well, then I'd just better enjoy every minute of every upcoming stage since time is going to march right on and you are going to go ahead and grow up anyway. I just hope you feel beautiful, special and so loved along the way, because that's what you are and will be.

I love you to pieces!

-Mommy

School's Out for the Summer!

Here we are again at the end of another school year. This has definitely been the best school year for ALL of our kids thus far. It will be tough to beat! All the kids loved school the whole year. They loved their teachers and friends. Everything was just great. I am always sad to see it end. It never fails that I cry every last day of school. I cry the first day also, but with the last day...it's sort of like the end of an era. It always reminds me that they are getting older and time is marching on. It's bittersweet for me! The week before school ends the kids participate in the school's dance festival. It is always a blast to watch and the school does a great job. It was a great day for Megan because she won an iPod!!!
Here are Megan and Zach with the best teacher, Miss Cottrell!!! She is our angel on earth! She is so positive and loves all the children so much. Plus she is adorable!
Tanner has had a great group of friends this year. He always finds such great friends to associate with and we are SO grateful for this. I hope it continues throughout all of his school years. He is very friendly and makes friends easily.
Tanner also had a wonderful teacher and school year. Mrs. Lepore is so kind and patient and just was the best thing for Tanner. He was in a split class where 1/2 was 2nd graders and 1/2 was 3rd graders. He was a 3rd grader and she handled the split class so well which is not an easy task. He really enjoyed it!

Big Girls Don't Cry

I didn't do such a good job filming this one! She is over towards the right on the back row and sometimes you can't even see her. Whoops! But it gets better and the end is really cute.
Getting her rose after the concert

Striking a post on the stage

After the concert with one of her best friends, Hannah. She'll be moving to Florida in a month. :( The twins are really going to miss her.
Our family-well, some of us!
Grandma Leesa came down for the concert
Megan and Munga(that's what the kids call my mom)

Almost There from The Princess and the Frog

Working on getting both of Megan's dance concert performances and the dance festival performances downloaded and put on here. She is in purple...6th from the right at beginning when they line up...apron up high. what's with that little girl pushing her to move up at 1:02? That really bugged me. But worth watching for the pose Megan strikes at the end.

Would you ever have imagined this?

Making snowballs on May 24th in Utah? I mean REAL snowballs! Utah has wacky weather, but this takes the cake!
Running and playing in the snow...and lots of it!
Some of our trees really suffered! Ouch!
Making snow angels.
Well, in spite of the broken trees and frozen plants, this is one three-year-old that enjoyed the snow surprise in May!

My oh my, how they change so fast!

Here is Leah at a month old:
And before we knew it, look what she started doing:
Tanner and I even caught her in a cheesy grin!
I think we'll keep her! ;)

My little monkey turned 3!!!

On April 26th, Gavin turned 3! He loves the color yellow, so I only went a little overboard on the yellow balloons! :) What can I say, I LOVE the kid!
He is our little monkey who loves animals, so here is his little monkey cake. He called it his Curious George cake! It was so easy to make and turned out great.
Cheese!
Opening presents is such a blast!
We went to his favorite park for pizza and cake. He had the best time. I could barely tear him away from that place. He was one happy boy!
Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet little man. I can hardly believe you are already 3. Where has the time gone? Too fast, that's for sure. You have brought such joy to my life in every sense of the word. A very special boy, that's for sure. I'll love you forever buddy!
